Written between 475 and 221 BC, The Art of War by Sun Tzu is considered the oldest exposition on military. After being preserved in China for over 2,000 years, the French discovered this treasure and brought it to the West. Many have sought the wisdom it contains. It was rumored to have been used by Napoleon in his escapades to conquer Europe. American officers examined it closely during World War II. Many twentieth-century Chinese officers claimed to know it by heart. The Japanese army studied it for decades. And now it is even used as a guide to competing in business.
