Slate Chalkboard

The Slate Chalkboard teaches and remediates writing for capitals and numbers, reinforces top-bottom and left-to-right directionality, and helps prevent reversals. When the ☺ is at the top, the number is right-side up.  

Wet-Dry-Try Activity
Simply write a chalk letter or number and teach each step. Children then wet the letter or number, dry it, and try it themselves with chalk. As they hold little bits of sponge and chalk, they reinforce correct grip.
