Lightning Lit — Speech Student Guide (2nd Ed.)

Students read a variety of speeches from ancient to modern times, all contained in the book Lend Me Your Ears: Great Speeches in History. Lessons are on opening and concluding a speech, content, audience, research, choosing words, style, and organization. Although this class is geared primarily towards writing speeches, tips for giving speeches are also included.

The Student’s Guide includes comprehension questions, writing exercises, reading lists, semester and full-year schedules, and bibliography. The answers to comprehension questions are in the Teacher’s Guide.
