Brighty of the Grand Canyon

Brighty of the Grand Canyon by Marguerite Henry (Newbery Medal Winner) is the story of a little burro that roamed the high cliffs of the Grand Canyon. The little burro, Brighty, befriends an old miner, a big-game hunter, a prospector and even President Teddy Roosevelt. When one of his friends is murdered, Brighty risks everything to try to bring the murderer to justice.
