Pee-Dee Regional High School Mathematics Tournament

Sponsored by Francis Marion University

Tuesday December 2, 2014

McNair Science Center at Francis Marion University

Francis Marion University is sponsoring a High School Mathematics Tournament open to students in grades 9-12 who live in the one of the following counties in SC:  Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter, Williamsburg.

Students will work individually on a written competition in the morning, and individual prizes will be awarded based on the scores.  The top four homeschooler scores will determine the homeschool (or “Virtual High School”) placing.   If this team score is one of the top four teams in the private school division, then the homeschool team would advance to the Tournament Finals in the afternoon and the coach would determine the students to send to the stage (the top four individuals based on written test unless one of those students chooses not to go on stage to compete).

Those interested should contact Beth Martin at SCAIHS (bmartin@scaihs.org or 803-454-0427) for more information and to register.  Please do not contact FMU directly, as registration must be done through a sponsoring school.
